My Background

As far as I can remember, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love just intensified. I have always found ways to explore the creative process, whether it was in my florist shop, my art studio or standing in a New England stream.  I don't just create, I join in and participate with the natural world in the process of creation.

I have explored many different means of creating including textiles and mediums such as pencil drawing, water color, and pastels. However oil painting as taught through the Boston School tradition of painting has captured my imagination.   See me on Instagram.

A lifelong desire to create and learn led me to the oil painting studios of Master Artists Thomas Dunlay, Evelina Brozgul and Christina Mastrangelo, who have opened the door for me to generations of Master painters before them. I am most inspired by the methods of the Boston School of Painters, which guided and inspired me to be a more careful observer of the natural world. I am continually drawn to the beauty and lessons that nature has to offer with its limitless variety of texture, light, color and values. My work reflects  and is born from the places of natural wonder in New England and my “home away from home”, St John, USVI.
